My Role & Contributions

Solution Architect & Senior Software Developer – Ontario Sire Stakes (OSS) Platform As the Solution Architect and Senior Software Developer for Ontario Sire Stakes (OSS), I was responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing a high-performance, scalable platform that supports Ontario’s Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing industry. My role spanned architecture planning, backend services, dynamic form management, and frontend development, ensuring seamless data processing and user experience.   Solution Architecture Responsibilities Infrastructure & Server Management
  • Architected a robust, scalable server infrastructure, utilizing Docker containers on Linux for streamlined deployment and maintenance.
  • Configured Nginx as a reverse proxy for load balancing, optimizing traffic distribution and securing connections.
  • Managed MySQL database architecture, ensuring efficient handling of registrations, payments, and race data.
  • Implemented Redis caching to improve database performance and API response times, enhancing platform speed.
  • Designed a microservices-based architecture with .NET & PHP, ensuring modular and extensible system components.
Security, Performance, & Scalability
  • Integrated SSL certificates for secure transactions and data protection.
  • Designed API-based integrations to connect OSS services with third-party applications using RESTful APIs.
