About Me

Hi, my name is Amir – Solution Architect and Senior Software Developer.

 

I have over 15 years of experience designing and building secure, high-performance software that’s as user-friendly as it is secure and reliable.

 

I specialize in designing and developing secure, high-performance software solutions across web, cloud, and hybrid environments, with a strong foundation in software engineering, system architecture, and emerging technologies.

 

 

 

My journey began with a full academic scholarship to Eastern Mediterranean University, where I earned both a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and a Master’s in Information Systems.

 

My career has spanned universities, enterprise clients, and my own company, TarhNegar Inc., where I led the development of custom Textile Design Software.

I’ve delivered scalable solutions for major Canadian organizations, including Woodbine Entertainment Group, Miele Canada, Park’N Fly, Caplans, Travel Insurance Office, Ontario Sires Stakes, RiskCheck, Second Harvest, and many more.

 

I leveraged technologies such as .NET Framework, Different Database Systems, Dynamic365, Python, PHP, Docker, Micro services, and WordPress across different Operationg systems like CentOS, Debian, Windows Servers and platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform and on-premise infrastructure.

 

I began in web design and database development, working on student housing and student service platforms at EMU. That foundation taught me the importance of blending function with form—ensuring that every system I build is intuitive, performant, and secure.

 

Beyond project delivery, I focus on mentorship, team leadership, and continuous innovation. I’ve built internal tools that streamline deployments, automate backups, and improve development workflows, including EasyCopy, WebDeploy, and RestAndWcfServiceTester.

 

Driven by curiosity and a strong sense of responsibility, I bring strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to every engagement. My goal is simple: to design solutions that last and lead teams that thrive.

 

I also manage my own dedicated server environment, which I use for testing, hosting personal projects, and staying hands-on with system administration, performance tuning, and security best practices. This includes working with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Proxmox, KVM, and VirtualBox. The server is housed in a colocation facility with dedicated public IP addresses.

    • Conduct website optimization, performance improvements, testing, debugging, deployment, and hosting.

Database Management

  • Expertise in SQL, including stored procedures, views, tables, functions, and database optimization across Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Firebird.
  • Fluent in relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring scalable data solutions.
